Career Pathways Day Camp

Learn some skills, make new friend and have some fun while exploring the career pathways at the Thompson Career Campus. This camp is for incoming 7th, 8th and 9th grade students.

Free Summer Day Camp

Monday, June 2 – Thursday, June 5,

  • Morning session: 9:00 am - 11:30 am
  • Afternoon session: 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm (if needed)

The morning session will be filled first, afternoon sessions will be created if needed.

Limited seats available. Students who apply will be selected via a lottery system. Applications close on April 28th, families will be notified the week of May 5, 2025 whether or not they received a spot in summer camp.

Construction is an essential component of many industries, and construction jobs help to build the world that we live in! In our Construction camp, students will learn all about measuring, materials, tools, and principles of construction to build small projects with our instructor as a guide. These construction basics will build a foundation and provide a gateway to learning more about construction and how it is essential to our economy and our world.

More and more all the tools that we use and play with are controlled by computer code and intelligent machines. It will be even more so int he future. In the IT & Cyber camp we aim to introduce the students to this brave new world. Couched within a format of fun games and activities that they will enjoy, during these four days the student will go through simple robots, immersive AI (artificial intelligence) exercises, team based cybersecurity code breaking games with prizes, simple programming skills, beginners exploration of the interior of everyday computing devices and so on. That will give you a taste of this most relevant and exciting field of the future which will also fill their wallets aplenty in the long run.

Manufacturing and Design

Do you want to make stuff? In TCC Design camp, students use robots to 3-D print rocket and drone assemblies, then fly them. Students design and build squirters for water battles outside. You will use your creativity and problem solving to design and manufacture products with CNC mills and Laser cutters.
